Moving & etc.

So, we will be moving out of state on Monday 1.16.12.  We're going to Michigan, where PJ is originally from and where we're currently in the process of buying a 2nd house.  It's a short sale, so some of y'all have heard me talk about it since late summer.  We're still in the process with the bank (they're taking their sweet time) but we're going to go ahead on up there now anyway & rent from the seller until the bank gets off its arse & lets us buy it outright.  Here is a picture of it!  We didn't get inside pics because the owner was still in it when we went through originally.  She just moved out so you'll have to wait to see the rest until next week sometime.  Maybe later if my internet connection doesn't get set-up right away.

That's my big news.  In other news, my lovely DH bought me the Addi Lace Clicks set for Christmas along with a gift certificate for yarn and I purchased 6 skeins of Berroco Vintage DK in a color called Breezeway - which is a robins egg blue but with a little more grey in it.  Kind of a stormy robin, if you will.  Absolutely lovely color!  I'm going to knit this cardigan.  Isn't it beautiful?  In between packing, I have a knit hat to deliver to my ex-MIL down the street (I am going to miss her SO MUCH) and I have to make my cables-swatch in this beautiful yarn.

Most of our "extra" stuff has been packed-up already and I'm going through the other stuff now to determine what will need to be packed last onto the truck, to be used first when we get there.  All the important daily-living stuff.  There is barely a walking path through my home now with all the boxes!

We're having a going-away party on Saturday the 14th.  I haven't sent out any invites yet because we just decided to have one two days ago - but I will send info via FB and some text messages for those of y'all I know.  I know it's last minute, but we just got the go-ahead to move in and we're taking it before the snow up there is 6 feet deep.  We've been waiting SO long and really didn't want to move in the middle of winter but sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas, full of love, family, friends, and great food.  This year will be awesome, you can count on it!  I'm off to do more packing & get ready for my knitting-day to begin.  Woohoo!
